The ascent to Komove takes place over open rocky areas and ridges, with permanent viewpoints and wide views towards Prokletije and the surrounding mountains.
As you climb, the air becomes sharper and cleaner, and the views gradually open up towards the surrounding mountains and valleys. The paths lead over ridges and plateaus where you can clearly feel the power and silence of the mountain, far from the crowds and the daily rhythm.
The mountains are known for their pronounced heights and the feeling of 'open space', where every step brings a new view and a sense of achievement.
Not recommended for people with injuries, health restrictions or disabilities, as well as people who have a greater fear of heights
Good hiking shoes are recommended, layered clothing (at higher altitudes wind and weather changes are possible), at least 1.5–2 L of water, snack.
The terrain is not technically extreme, but the ascent is significant and requires moderate physical fitness.
The ascent to Komove can include a one-day tour or a multi-day stay. The emphasis is on clearly marked trails and the choice of route according to the fitness of the participants. The recommended period for visiting is summer and early autumn.
